| The Odisha RTI Coalition, Utha Orissa, is an alliance of civil society organisations formed in 2009. The goal of the Coalition is to ensure that the Right to Information Act is activated for every citizen of Orissa, particularly among the most marginalised people of the state. The Coalition’s mandate is to combine the resources and expertise of its members in creating a platform to empower citizens to engage with public authority and become proactive in governance issues which can alleviate poverty and corruption. Its approach is to offer hand-holding support at specialist RTI Centres and innovative community-based initiatives which reach out to every corner of the state. |
